25th May – 2nd June 2024 Creative Kernow

The Woolly Potting Shed

Information

Ceramic sheep, cow and pig figurines, sheep themed plant pots, farming and woolly mugs, soap dishes and lots more.
Lino prints with a Cornish theme.

I live and work on a smallholding in mid Cornwall. Since a life changing accident to my husband in late 2019 when he found himself in a rehabilitation facility with pottery on the ‘menu’ which was little more than playing with a bit of clay, I was inspired to set up my own pottery from scratch as it was good for my mental health to be able to distract myself from what had happened and the ensuing pandemic.

I have taught myself ceramics and now sell several items in quantity and rise to the challenge of producing unique pieces of pottery especially sheep.
I have 40 years experience of keeping sheep and can therefore make the sheep look exactly like they should.

I also sculpt cows and pigs and make bespoke mugs and plant pots.

Printing is also a passion of mine and printing on both paper and on the clay to bring scenes from my local area to life via screen printing and linocut.
