Information

I work with enamel resin to create earrings, pendants, images, coasters, bud vases and cards in abstract and geometric designs. Jewellery from £20.

Working with enamel resin is the core process of all the pieces I create. I predominantly use a torch-firing method because I find that gives me maximum control over the finished design. I like to hand-mix colours so that I get the exact tones I want to complement the design and this helps make each piece unique.

My range includes earrings, pendants, framed images, coasters, bud vases and cards.

My earrings and pendants feature abstract, geometric and tribal themed designs on aluminium or copper bases. I either work freehand or alternatively design and 3D print stencils which I then use to achieve the precision required in the more intricate designs.

For my framed images, I often upscale design elements from my jewellery pieces and enjoy the process of making these work creatively on a larger scale.

The bud vases and table decorations give me the chance to combine my love of 3D design and print with my enamelling work.

The bud vases feature two lid structures to support different size stems – or simply work on their own as a decorative pot.

I see my table decorations as mini sculptures that could work equally well as ornaments. The 3D printed frames support hanging enamelled aluminium elements which dangle freely creating movement and interest.

My coasters feature enamelled designs on an aluminium base and can be bought individually or in sets. Like the jewellery, the designs range from abstract to geometric with a couple of quirky designs thrown in.

I also love making the range of enamelled cards and often use these to develop and hone the thought processes that lead to the designs in my other pieces of work.

I find enamelling an endlessly fascinating art and love the fact that every piece I produce is entirely unique.
